Parking Fees

Parking is reimbursable when a state-owned or private vehicle is used by the traveler. Receipts are required.

Travel To and From Airport, Bus Station, or Train Station

  1. Private Cars:
    Travel to/from airport, bus station, or train station is reimbursable for a maximum of two round trips with no parking charges, or for one round trip with parking charges. Receipts are required for parking claims.
  2. Taxi or Shuttle Fares:
    Employee may be reimbursed for travel between duty station and nearest airport terminal, train station, or bus station and for travel between employee's destination and nearest airport terminal, train station, or bus station on the return trip. Actual amount expended is reimbursable. Receipts are required.

    In lieu of using a taxi or airport shuttle, employees can use public transportation and be reimbursed without receipts $5.00 for each one-way trip either from the airport to hotel/meeting or from the hotel/meeting to the airport.

    The actual cost of taxi and shuttle service fares is reimbursable when required for travel on official state business. The request must be documented with a receipt. The use of public transportation is reimbursable up to $5.00 per one way trip.

    The employee must receive prior approval of the department head or his or her designee if renting a vehicle to travel to/from the airport, or train/bus station at employee's destination.
