Performance Management Program Overview
The North Carolina Valuing Individual Performance (NCVIP) performance management program is designed to drive accountability throughout the organization by ensuring alignment between an individual’s goals and values and the agency’s mission, goals, and strategic plan. It is a collaborative, on-going process between a supervisor and an employee to promote and foster a more productive and engaged workforce.
Strategy
- Measure employee performance based on achievement of performance goals and demonstration of core values that can impact NCDOL outcomes.
- Managers guide and coach employees on their path to meeting their goals through active and continuous performance feedback
- Provide tools, resources, and education on effective performance management.
